25 years ago Bob D' Andrea, the president and founder of the Christian Television Network approached a young 44-year-old Herman Bailey about starting a television program for senior adults.

"The Lord has a way of giving us a calling," he explained in 1980. "And this is mine. This is what I'm designed to do, to minister to senior adults." This comment was taken from an article published 25 years ago. Katie Pyke a faithful viewer of the early ministry said in the same article, "Action 60's has enriched our lives... it always has something you can apply to your everyday life."

These words were taken from an article in the National Religious Broadcasters Magazine published in 1981. So many ministries have come and gone in the past 25 years. Worldwide ministries have passed off the scene, major Christian television evangelists are no longer around, but it is a real testimony to the power of the Gospel as Herman & Sharron Bailey continue to broadcast to millions of souls around the United States and Canada. The Bailey's ministry is seen NATION WIDE on the Christian Television Network and Sky Angel Satellite.

Herman's success at Trinity Baptist Church in Clearwater preceded him. During his four years with Trinity Baptist Church, 3400 people accepted Christ as Savior. This is an amazing statistic considering only one out of every half-million people over the age of 65 accepts Christ as personal Savior. It's fair to say, Herman Bailey is a soul winner.
