| 1970's...
W hen Herman Bailey assumed leadership of the Super Sixties ministry
in the late 1970s, the Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church was just hoping
that Herman could minister to at least 150 people. To everyone's
surprise the crowds grew to 10 TIMES that number each week. 1500 people
turned out every week to be a part of Herman's ministry. These rare photographs
testify to his determination and anointing.

The picture to the left was taken in 1977 when Herman was in his late
30s. Notice all the empty chairs. The balcony is empty as well. The writing
at the bottom of the picture says, "First Super-60s, Trinity Baptist
Church, February 25, 1977.
There are about 150 people in this photograph. These dear saints are
now home with the Lord. Not only did Herman touch these lives, thousands
more were blessed by Super Sixties.
From
the picture at the bottom you can see why Bob D'Andrea, the president
of the Christian Television Network believed Herman would be successful
in television ministry.
The picture to the right was taken in 1979, a short two years after
he assumed the leadership of the ministry. EVERY SEAT IS FILLED! The balcony
is full. If you look real carefully, you can actually see people standing
in the back of the auditorium.
